12. Cookies, Analytics & Advertising

We use two third-party services on our booking pages to understand how people find and book trips, and to measure our advertising:
  • Google Analytics — helps us understand how visitors use our booking pages (for example, how many people view a trip and how many complete a reservation).
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel — helps us measure whether our advertising works and, with your consent, show more relevant ads on Meta’s platforms.
We ask before anything runs. When you visit one of our booking pages, no analytics or advertising technology loads until you make a choice in our cookies banner:
  • If you Accept, Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel run normally. They may set cookies and collect information such as the pages you view, the trip and package you look at, purchase amounts, and general device and browser information. We never send them your name, email address, or phone number.
  • If you Decline, the Meta Pixel never loads, no advertising cookies are set, and we collect only anonymous, cookie-free usage statistics (aggregate counts that are not linked to you).
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser sends a GPC opt-out signal, we treat it automatically as a Decline — you don’t need to do anything.
You can change your choice at any time using the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the footer of our booking pages. Your choice is remembered for 12 months in a small first-party cookie whose only job is to record your preference. We do not sell your personal information for money. When you accept advertising cookies, information collected by the Meta Pixel may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under some state laws — declining, or sending a GPC signal, opts you out of this entirely.

13. Your State Privacy Rights (United States)

Depending on where you live, state law may give you rights over your personal information, including the rights to:
  • Know / Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct — ask us to fix inaccurate information;
  • Delete — ask us to delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep for payments, tax, or fraud prevention);
  • Opt out of “sale” or “sharing” — including sharing for targeted advertising. You can exercise this at any time via the “Your Privacy Choices” link on our booking pages, by declining our cookies banner, or by using a browser that sends the Global Privacy Control signal, which we honor;
  • Non-discrimination — we will not deny you service or charge you different prices for exercising these rights.
These rights currently apply to residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Washington, among others as new laws take effect. To exercise access, correction, or deletion rights, contact us at admin@letsgravel.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We will verify your identity and respond within the timeframe required by your state’s law (generally 45 days). If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will explain the outcome of your appeal.
